Leeuwergem project (Feb 22, 2018)Visual Dimension, in cooperation with the Regional Landscape Flemish Ardennes and Tourism Flemish Ardennes, has been awarded a LEADER project concerning the historical landscape Leeuwergem-Elene, situated in and around the castle domain of Leeuwergem. The project will provide by 2020 educational trails on the preserved natural and historical heritage, using innovative 3D visualisation and smartphone-based group experiences. |

Open Monuments Day (Sept 13, 2015)On Sunday September 13,2015, Open Monuments Day was celebrated in Ename under the theme Feast in the Abbey. Visitors at the Heritage Centre attended the first guided virtual walk-through of the Saint Salvator abbey of Ename in 1290. This natural interaction system that we developed is called TimeGate and makes the visitors experience interactively the village and abbey in medieval times. |

European Heritage Label (April 16, 2015)On April 16, 2015, Visual Dimension was invited to present to the delegates of the sites receiving the European Heritage Label from the European Community an overview of technologies suitable for heritage sites. At this meeting, the representatives of these sites could discuss and propose the strategies and technologies that could help in providing an optimal access to the sites. |

Ename resources on Europeana (Jan 31, 2015)In the context of the European project 3D-ICONS, Visual Dimension provided about 100 3D assets and 30 images to Europeana, the European Digital Library of Culture. These digital assets are all about the Ename site. More can be found on our blog. |
