Visual Dimension bvba

Visual Dimension is active in architecture and digital cultural heritage.  Visual Dimension digital heritage activities focuses on two domains: virtual 3D reconstruction and interaction with digital heritage.

Concerning virtual 3D reconstruction, we specialise in the interpretation and virtual reconstruction of historical sites and objects and in digital restoration and virtual re-contextualisation of museum objects.  We have acquired nearly 20 years of experience in this domain and use a proven and documented scientific methodology that strives for the highest quality level possible.  We master a range of technologies such as 3D digitisation and documentation, 3D modelling and animation, 3D historical landscape simulation and 3D digital sculpting, and 3D visualisation of complex models.

Concerning interaction with digital heritage, we have developed a range of indoor and outdoor solutions for monuments, sites and museums that focus very much on interactivity, visitor involvement and social interaction. These solutions not only involve touch screens and 3D visualisation but also gesture based systems with real time 3D and tangible interfaces based upon 3D printing and sensors.  We have many years of experience in integrating these systems in museums and monuments and on sites, suited for individual visitors, small groups and large guided groups.  We focus on robustness, optimal user interfaces and sustainability.
